The art of gifting remains one of the most understated ways of staying contented. Don’t we all love bringing smiles on faces of our dear ones? I have often faced issues in selecting the right gift item from the right platform because of obvious reasons. Then comes, gift ideas which may turn out to be either monotonous or one with fewer variants. Exclusive Lane is your one-stop destination for purchasing gift items and guess what! You will be spoilt with choices.
Many of you might not know this, but India is also a diverse country in terms of art and culture. However, due to modernisation, we tend to forget our roots. Exclusive Lane brings the traditional form of Indian art at your doorstep and how? The team has taken a fabulous initiative to exhibit and endorse handicraft products to the domestic as well as global market. This way, the poor artisans will get their due and in some way or the other, it will alleviate poverty. Empowering home-grown talents is bigger than the world cup. This is the time when we should actually go #VocalForLocal.
My tryst with Exclusive Lane-Hands on experience
When it comes to gifting, I am super picky. It was New Year’s Eve and I wanted to gift myself something different than usual. Upon surfing, I landed on this platform named “Exclusive Lane” (click here to check what they got to offer) and I spent half-an-hour checking out their stuff. Exclusive Lane has caught my eyes for its exclusive collection of garden decoratives and artisanal blocks that solely represent the ancient traditions and culture of our country. What I came to know through thorough research that, the team of Exclusive Lane handpicks rural artisans from different parts of our country to promote their work on a global platform. The #MakeinIndia dream has come to reality with brands like, Exclusive Lane who promotes Indian art to the world. Here’s the excited version of me, unboxing the package from Exclusive Lane.
What we have with us is a decorative vase depicting our childhood moral tale of the “Thirsty Crow”. Adorned with floral pattern, on raw terracotta, earthen brown vase with a crow on top, this is one of the simplest yet innovative creations I have seen till date. This would be a perfect showpiece for my balcony garden. On the other hand, we have a fabulous collection of hand-carved wooden blocks of some exquisite creatures like peacock, owl, butterfly and elephant. These artisanal blocks are made of Sheesham wood, generally used to create patterns on clothes. I am planning to use these as paperweight while writing lesson plans for students.
